Mara Viksnins has a BA in Art from University of West Florida. Mara has lived along the Gulf Coast of Florida making her home in Pensacola and Destin. She has traveled extensively throughout Europe, Asia and South America. She has won the Bronze Medal from the Society of Arts, Sciences and Letters- Paris, France. She was also President of the Pensacola Branch of the National League of American Pen Women for ten years and remains an active member in the national organization. She has won many awards locally as well as nationally.

Mara’s work borders on the abstract focusing on textured painting with her main focus being “The Woman” in nature.
